A fine and tasteful flute and reeds player, Jim was asked by Clare Hansson to play for her Azimuth project in 1990. Jim can be heard on this recording of the Azimuth theme.
For many years Jim played in the Jazz Express quartet at Sanctuary Cove with Rick Purdie (guitar), Lenny Little (reeds) and Dennis Ashton (bass).
